Believing that time is nature of clay, I try to reveal time with clay. In order for a man who exists for only a limited time to change unlimited time visually, he needs to do the same task over and over again incessantly. The repeated task of stamping a serial number onto tens of thousands of small blocks brings me freedom from all ideas and thoughts and to experience transcendence of time. By experiencing transcendence of time, I came to find “me”. My experience is communicated to viewers looking at my work and enables them to have a similar experience.
